Choose between Batumi, Gonio, and Kvariati beaches

For a two-hour outing, choose Central Beach: the sea is 10–15 minutes from Europe Square and city services are close, but it is the busiest option in summer. New Boulevard is more spacious and convenient for anyone staying around Khimshiashvili Street; from Old Batumi, use a coastal city bus.

Gonio and Kvariati suit a separate half-day trip. Gonio is closer and livelier; Kvariati is farther, but the shore feels calmer and the water often looks clearer. From Batumi, take a bus or marshrutka marked Gonio, Kvariati, or Sarpi in the airport direction; travel time is roughly 25–50 minutes. Mark the return stop before walking to the beach: the highway separates parts of the villages, and similarly named map pins can lead to different access points.
