The Sleeping Beauty Ballet at Tbilisi Opera
The Sleeping Beauty, a ballet in three acts composed by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, will be performed at the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre on October 30, 31, November 1, and 3, 2026. The libretto by Ivan Vsevologsky and Marius Petipa is based on the tale by Charles Perrot. Choreography by Marius Petipa, with staging and choreography version by Alexey Fadeechev and Nina Ananiashvili. The production features scenography and costumes by Anatoly Nezhny, lighting design by Steen Bjarke, and is conducted by Levan Jagaev with the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre Orchestra. Artistic director of the ballet company is Nina Ananiashvili. Note: Latecomers will be admitted only at the first interval; dress code is mandatory (shorts not allowed); children under 6 years old are permitted only at day performances.
