The Sleeping Beauty Ballet

The ballet "The Sleeping Beauty" tells the story of Princess Aurora's birth and the evil curse placed on her by the fairy Carabosse. At Aurora's christening, the good fairies bestow gifts upon her, but the forgotten evil fairy predicts an eternal sleep after a finger prick. Twenty years later, at a ball, Aurora accidentally pricks her finger and falls asleep. The Lilac Fairy casts a sleep over the kingdom, and an impenetrable forest grows around the castle. Years later, Prince Désiré, enchanted by a vision of Aurora, sneaks into the castle and awakens the princess and the entire kingdom with his kiss. The finale celebrates the wedding of Aurora and Désiré, attended by characters from famous fairy tales. The performance will take place on October 21, 2026, at the Brest Regional Cultural Center, located at 1 Kommunisticheskaya Street. Ticket prices start at 65 BYN.
