Lecture on the History of Batumi

We invite you to a lecture accompanied by a glass of wine, where you can explore the rich history of Batumi and appreciate its diversity.

Topics include:
• Where did the Argonauts sail in search of the Golden Fleece?
• When did Yesenin meet Batumi?
• Where was Valery Meladze born?
• How did Agatha Christie lose her hotel in Batumi?
• How was Batumi connected to two airplane hijackings during the Soviet era?
• Is it true that Bulgakov met the very Margarita in Batumi?

The lecture will be led by Vitaliy Kibitlevskiy, a poet and tour guide with 10 years of experience, author of articles and lectures on Georgian history.
