Step into 19th-century Tiflis during Keto and Kote's wedding by the Mtkvari River, where celebration turns unexpected when the Postmaster arrives. General Vano Phantiashvili receives two telegrams from France: one reveals the passing of his uncle, Marshal de Fantie, and the second proclaims him heir to the enormous Monte Rosa diamond. Embarking for Paris, the general and his vivid companions—including resourceful Khecho, scheming Zippo, inventive Porpile, and famed matchmaker Khanuma—find themselves swept into a whirlwind of intrigue and farce. Will General Phantiashvili embrace his inheritance, or will something greater guide his heart? Created for Gabriadze Theatre, this engaging performance runs 75 minutes. Suitable for ages 12 and up.
