Betkili: Svan Legend Reimagined

Mestia Culture and Art Center presents “Betkili”: a one-act mimodrama retelling a cherished Svan myth. Under the vision of director Kakha Bakuradze, the play follows the journey of Betkili, a renowned hunter in Svaneti, whose love for Tamar and later the goddess Dali alters his destiny. Combining body language and shadow theater for universal appeal, the story lives through performances by Data Filpan, Gegi Paliani, Mariam Naveriani, Salome Japaridze, Nana Kakhiani, Mariam Mchedliani, Bakar Paliani, Goga Paliani, Luka Ratiani and choir.
