Carmina Burana

Experience Carl Orff’s celebrated Carmina Burana as a spectacular ballet-cantata at the Tbilisi Z. Paliashvili Opera and Ballet Theatre, March 26–29, 2026. Choreographed and directed by Ilya Jivoy, the production features the Opera soloists, Ballet Company, Chorus, and Orchestra. Conducted by Zaza Azmaiparashvili, with chorus masters Avtandil Chkhenkeli and Irma Getsadze, costumes by Sonia Vartanian, and lighting by Konstantin Binkin. Artistic direction for ballet is by Nina Ananiashvili. The staging debuted in Tbilisi in 2022, returning now with a one-act performance. Children under 6 are admitted only to day shows. Latecomers can enter at the first intermission only. A formal dress code applies—shorts are not allowed.
