Xilva
Xilva is a contemporary reinterpretation of Euripides’ 'Iphigenia at Aulis', exploring how societies in crisis lose their grip on reason and surrender to irrational forces. Lasha Bughadze’s bittersweet script, directed by Salome Joglidze and featuring artistry by Ketevan Nadibaidze and music by Ana Zakareishvili, introduces humor and irony to the tragic tradition. The talented cast, including Davit Beshitaishvili and Baia Dvalishvili, brings to life a world where the lines between ancient archetypes and modern realities blur. Xilva prompts the audience to reflect on the moment when fear and propaganda overshadow independent thought, challenging viewers to ask difficult questions about their own world. Supported by the Civil Society Foundation and local cultural organizations. Performances on March 21 and 22 at Theatre On Atoneli. Duration: 90 minutes.
