Laurencia Ballet in Tbilisi

The acclaimed ballet 'Laurencia' returns to the stage at the Zakaria Paliashvili Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre. This two-act production, based on Lope de Vega’s renowned novel Fuente Ovejuna, features music by Alexander Krein and choreography by the legendary Vakhtang Chabukiani. Nina Ananiashvili brings a fresh choreographic version and staging to life. The production is conducted by Zaza Kalmakhelidze, with set designs by David Monavardisashvili, costumes by Alexandre Vassiliev, and lighting by John B Read. Ballet masters Liliana Mitaishvili and Irine Jandieri serve as consultants, and Ekaterine Shavliashvili assists with choreography. Orchestra conducted by Levan Jagaev. Performances run March 14, 15, 17, 18, and 19. Children under 6 are allowed only at day performances. Tickets range from 20 to 120 GEL. Please arrive on time; latecomers can enter only at intermission. Dress code in effect—forbidden to wear shorts or sportswear.
