Philharmonic Orchestra Turns 100

The Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra celebrates its 100th anniversary with an outstanding concert on March 13 at its Auditorium (182 David Aghmeshenebeli Avenue). The evening features maestro Josef Jugashvili conducting and piano virtuoso Sandro Nebieridze as soloist. The program includes Mozart’s Overture from “Die Entführung aus dem Serail,” Piano Concerto No. 20 by Mozart, and the suite from Richard Strauss’s “Der Rosenkavalier.” This milestone event is organized under the patronage of the Georgian Ministry of Culture, presented by Coca Cola and MTIS Water. Supporting partners include David Bezhuashvili Education Center, GULF, SARAJISHVILI, and The Artists Union ConceptArt. Informational support is provided by Palitra Media Holding, Fortuna Radio Holding, and 118 08. Expected duration is around 2 hours. Recommended for ages 6 and up.
