"Mother" by Florian Zeller at Marjanishvili Theater

"Mother" by Florian Zeller, performed by the Independent theatrical company "GIENOS," is the concluding part of a trilogy including "The Son" and "Father." This is the first time the trilogy is staged by the same director, Davit Chkhartishvili, with full legal rights and Georgian translation by Nana Samchkuashvili. The play delves into the life of a mother who dedicates herself entirely to her family, examining the emotional burdens she carries and the complex relationships with her children and spouse. It raises profound questions about the balance between caring for family and losing oneself. The production features Anna Matuashvili as Mother, Giorgi Tsertsvadze as Father, Dachi Babunashvili as Nikola, and Keti Luarsabishvili as Gogo, with music by Meri Beroshvili and costumes by Tamuna Lomsadze. Supported by Tbilisi City Hall and Marjanishvili Theatre, the play is performed in Georgian and is recommended for audiences aged 15 and above. Duration is approximately 90 minutes.
