Alfred and Violetta
Experience the legendary puppet theatre of Rezo Gabriadze with "Alfred and Violetta," a fresh adaptation of the classic love story from Alexandre Dumas fils' novel and Verdi's opera. Originally premiered in 1981, this production was extensively rewritten by Gabriadze in his final year and brought to life under the direction of Leo Gabriadze. The narrative unfolds across locations including Tbilisi's Mtatsminda District, Milan, Rome, and Venice, set against the turbulent backdrop of 1990s Tbilisi. The performance lasts 75 minutes and is suitable for audiences aged 12 and above. Guests are welcome to relax before the show at the "Ar Idardo" bar in the theatre lobby, opening at 18:00 exclusively for ticket holders. Please note punctuality is essential as latecomers will not be admitted to preserve the intimate atmosphere.
