Vivaldi’s Ottone in Villa

Experience Vivaldi’s 1713 masterpiece 'Ottone in Villa' like never before! Presented by the Tbilisi State Chamber Orchestra 'Georgian Sinfonietta,' this authentic Baroque opera is coming to Georgia for the first time. The performances take place March 3, 5, 6, and 8, 2026, at the Rustaveli National Theatre - Small Stage. The venue’s intimate size and design closely mirror Vicenza’s Teatro delle Garzerie, bringing genuine Baroque atmosphere. Enjoy historically informed performances with period instruments and a stellar cast: Countertenor Maximiliano Danta as Ottone, Sopranos Paola Valentina Molinari (Cleonila), Tamar Tsirekidze (Caio), Fabiana Visentin (Tullia), and Tenor Matteo Straffi (Decio). The project is led by director Ilaria Sainato, assistant director Tata Popiashvili, and guest Baroque musicians, including Sergio Azzolini (Bassoon), Diego Cantalupi (Theorbo, Guitar), Gabriele Levi (Harpsichord), Giuseppe Falciglia and Clément Diez (Oboes/Flutes), and Sophie Lamberbourg (Cello).
