Vivaldi: Ottone in Villa
The Tbilisi State Chamber Orchestra ‘Georgian Sinfonietta’ brings Vivaldi’s first opera, ‘Ottone in Villa,’ to Georgia for the first time. Experience authentic Baroque performance, meticulously staged at the Rustaveli National Theatre's Small Stage, chosen for its similarity to the original 1713 venue in Vicenza. The production, held March 3, 5, 6, and 8, features historical instruments and internationally acclaimed specialists in Baroque music. Cast includes Maximiliano Danta (Ottone), Paola Valentina Molinari (Cleonila), Tamar Tsirekidze (Caio), Fabiana Visentin (Tullia), and Matteo Straffi (Decio). Production team: Director Ilaria Sainato and Assistant Director Tata Popiashvili. Guest musicians: Sergio Azzolini (bassoon), Diego Cantalupi (theorbo, guitar), Gabriele Levi (harpsichord), Giuseppe Falciglia (oboe/flute), Clément Diez (oboe/flute), and Sophie Lamberbourg (cello).
