Experience the premiere of “Non Local Locals” at the Paata Guliashvili Comedy Theater! This heartfelt comedy follows four Georgians who unexpectedly share a cramped refugee shelter on the outskirts of Hamburg. Far from home, their journeys intertwine as they confront homesickness, cultural clashes, and laugh-out-loud misadventures. From learning German and odd housing rules to the longing for loved ones, the play reveals how humor and the Georgian spirit help overcome daunting circumstances. The diverse personalities—each with unique dreams and reasons for leaving Georgia—create a mix of conflicts and camaraderie, making for both hilarious and touching moments. As the story unfolds, their new path towards living and working in Germany unexpectedly circles back to their roots when one small incident makes them decide to return home. Written by Nika Ramishvili and directed by Paata Guliashvili, starring Nika Arabidze, Vasil Grigalashvili, Rati Tvildiani, and Paata Guliashvili. Suitable for ages 12 and up. Shows run May 10–24.
