Non Local Locals

Sat, May 16 · 20:00 Paata Guliashvili Comedy Theater

Experience 'Non Local Locals' at Paata Guliashvili Comedy Theater, running May 10–24, 2026. Set in a refugee camp near Hamburg, this play centers on four Georgian strangers sharing a cramped room, each dealing with the realities of adapting to a new life in Germany. Through laughter and hardship, they reveal their dreams, the pain of leaving home, and the quirks of German life, all filtered through the uniquely optimistic Georgian perspective. As they navigate cultural clashes, language hurdles, and the strictures of their temporary home, the characters support and challenge each other. When the long-awaited right to stay and work finally arrives, an unexpected twist brings them to a heartfelt decision: to return to Georgia, because, above all else, they are Georgians. Directed by Paata Guliashvili and written by Nika Ramishvili. The cast features Nika Arabidze, Vasil Grigalashvili, Rati Tvildiani, and Paata Guliashvili. The event is suited for audiences aged 12 and above.
