Don’t Call Me ‘Grandmother’

Thu, May 28 · 18:00 Youth Theatre

Experience the premiere of “Please Do Not Call Me ‘Grandmother’” at Youth Theatre, a heartfelt and humorous production by Maka and Ketevan Kharshiladze. The play centers on Ms. Tina, a widowed librarian in her seventies who has dedicated her life to books. When caring for her tech-savvy grandchildren becomes her latest challenge, worlds collide—books and social media, tradition and freedom. What starts as a comedic culture clash slowly transforms into a touching story about understanding between generations. Directed by Ketevan Kharshiladze and Kakha Gabelaya, with music by Davit Tavadze and set design by Maia Skhirtladze, this visually engaging play stars Ketevan Kitiashvili, Nia Togonidze, Taso Rostomashvili, and Damiane Navadze. Performances take place on May 15 and 28 at Youth Theatre. For ages 10 and up.
