P R E M I E R E The play “The Promised Shore” is an attempt to view geopolitical changes not from factual events, but from a human perspective. War has a fateful impact on people’s lives, their inner state, and the way they perceive the world. Along with all this, not only does the way of life change, but also the relationships between people. This is exactly what the play “The Promised Shore” tells us. The play is an adaptation of Tennessee Williams’ “A Streetcar Named Desire.” The main characters are two sisters, Sophie and Helen, who have been separated from each other due to the political situation in their homeland, France.
