Alfred and Violetta

Thu, Jun 11 · 19:00 Gabriadze Theatre

Returning to Gabriadze Theatre’s stage, “Alfred and Violetta” is a beloved story, newly reinvented by Leo Gabriadze based on Rezo Gabriadze’s vision. Drawing inspiration from Dumas’ novel and Verdi’s celebrated opera, this play is set in 1990s Tbilisi’s Mtatsminda district and travels through Milan, Khashuri, Rome, Abastumani, Venice, and Dighomi. The production explores enduring love amid the turbulent backdrop of Georgia’s recent history. The performance runs 75 minutes and is recommended for audiences aged 12 and above. Before the show, guests are invited to relax at the “Ar Idardo” bar in the theatre lobby, exclusively open to ticket holders from 18:00. Please note that late arrivals cannot be admitted after the performance begins to maintain the theatre’s intimate atmosphere. Directed by Leo Gabriadze, this reimagined classic celebrates the triumph of love against the odds. Venue: Gabriadze Theatre, Tbilisi. Performance dates: June 4, 5, 10, 11, 17, 18, 26, and 27, 2026.
