Set out on a scientific exploration led by renowned archaeologist Giorgi Bidzinashvili, director of the Orozmani International Expedition. This one-day tour transports you through 1.8 million years of Georgia’s pivotal history, from its Neolithic wine culture to the groundbreaking discoveries of early Europeans. Highlights include hands-on visits to Gadachrili Gora—the confirmed birthplace of wine, the medieval city and ancient wine cellar of Dmanisi, and the Bronze Age kurgans of Kvemo Kartli. Witness live archaeological digs, discuss the latest research, and savor a culinary finale blending the traditions of Kvemo Kartli and Svaneti. The tour includes transportation, museum entries, dinner, and expert-led sessions. Runs every Saturday and Sunday (season closes June 14th, resumes in October), 8:30–20:00, starting at Tbilisi’s First Republic Square (Bicycle Monument). 220 GEL per person; group size 5–11, 18+ only.
