The Wizard of Oz

Tue, May 5 · 15:00 Youth Theatre

A play based on Frank Baum's "The Wizard of Oz"... After a storm, the main character, a little girl Dorothy, finds herself far from home in a magical world, where she makes friends - the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Lion. With the help of good witches and wizards, Dorothy must get to the Emerald City to meet the Wizard of Oz, but no one knows the way to Oz, no one has ever seen Oz, and no one knows what the ruler of the Emerald City looks like. Dorothy really wants to return home, she does everything she can to do this, but the Evil Witch and the Flying Monkey prevent her. The Evil Witch and the Monkey are determined to somehow destroy Dorothy and her friends, take away their magic shoes, and spread evil to the world. This is a story about a little girl who, through love, friendship, loyalty, and determination, was able to defeat the evil witch and return home. -I was taught this: "When you want something very much and work hard to achieve it, your wish will surely come true."
