Experience the timeless love story of 'Romeo and Juliet' reimagined as Sergei Prokofiev’s ballet at the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre. Shows are on May 5, 6, 9 at 7:00pm, and May 10 at 3:00pm. This two-act production is crafted by choreographer Mikhail Lavrovsky, based on Shakespeare’s tragic play. The performance features conductor Alevtina Ioffe, set designer David Monavardisashvili, costume designer Vyacheslav Okunev, and lighting designer John B. Read. Nina Ananiashvili serves as Artistic Director, with the orchestra led by Levan Jagaev. The acclaimed new version premiered in 2018. Children under 6 are welcome only at the daytime show (May 10). Latecomers admitted after the first interval only. Formal dress required—shorts not allowed. Ticket prices range from 20 to 120 GEL.
