Romeo and Juliet Ballet
Experience Sergei Prokofiev’s stirring ballet 'Romeo and Juliet', based on Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy, at the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre. This captivating two-act performance features choreography and libretto by Mikhail Lavrovsky, with staging by conductor Alevtina Ioffe. The set is designed by David Monavardisashvili, costumes by Vyacheslav Okunev, and lighting by John B. Read. Leading coach is Alexey Fadeechev, with artistic direction by Nina Ananiashvili. The theatre’s celebrated orchestra, under the baton of Levan Jagaev, brings the story to life. Children aged 6 and above are welcome to day performances only. Please note the compulsory dress code — shorts are not allowed — and latecomers will be admitted only at the first interval. Dates: May 5, 6, 9 at 19:00, May 10 at 15:00.
