One Jar of Wishes, premiering at Youth Theatre, creatively reimagines Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani’s fable for modern audiences age 7 and up. Directed by Giorgi Sultanishvili, with choreography from Nika Nanitashvili and visual design by Nino Kitia, the production fuses traditional Georgian folk music (including Sulkhan Tsintsadze’s work) with modern stagecraft. Video installations are inspired by Niko Pirosmani’s paintings, while the story is brought to life through expressive dance and folk poetry rather than direct narration from Orbeliani’s text. Performers Sopho Peradze, Lali Gerkenashvili, and Giorgi Jikuridze lead the cast, weaving an allegorical tale using movement and music. Running time is 50 minutes. Shows on April 4, 9, and 26 at Youth Theatre.
