Step into 19th-century Tbilisi at Gabriadze Theatre, where a festive wedding is interrupted by dramatic news from France: impoverished General Vano Phantiashvili is named heir to the world’s largest diamond. Alongside a lively group of fellow travelers—including matchmaker Khanuma and the witty Khecho—the General sets off for Paris, facing humorous mishaps and difficult choices. What fate awaits these colorful characters as they chase fortune and honor across Europe? Will the war-worn veteran claim the diamond or choose principle over riches? The performance runs 75 minutes and is suitable for ages 12 and up. Enjoy the “Ar Idardo” bar in the theater’s lobby, opening at 18:00 for ticket holders and at 20:30 for the public.
