Alfred & Violetta
Rediscover a legendary tale of love in 'Alfred and Violetta' at Gabriadze Marionette Theatre. Originally premiered in 1981, the play is masterfully re-envisioned by Rezo Gabriadze, drawing inspiration from Dumas’ novel and Verdi’s opera. In the final year of his life, Gabriadze extensively revised the production, and the new staging was completed by artistic director Leo Gabriadze. The story unfolds across dramatic locations—Tbilisi’s Mtatsminda, Milan, Khashuri, Rome, Abastumani, Venice, and Dighomi—set during the turbulent 1990s in Georgia. The main characters confront challenges and barriers in pursuit of their love. The performance lasts 75 minutes and is intended for audiences over 12 years old. Enjoy drinks before the show at 'Ar Idardo' bar in the theatre lobby, open to ticket holders from 18:00. Please note, latecomers will not be admitted once the show starts, ensuring all guests experience the magic in full.
