Alfred and Violetta
Returning to Gabriadze Theatre, 'Alfred and Violetta' unfolds as a reimagined marionette performance, inspired by Dumas’ novel and Verdi’s opera, but transformed by Rezo Gabriadze’s vision. In the final year of his life, Gabriadze rewrote the play, with the new production directed by Leo Gabriadze. The narrative is set against the backdrop of 1990s Tbilisi and other cities, giving the timeless love story a unique flavor as the protagonists face society’s challenges. The performance runs for 75 minutes at Gabriadze Theatre, with shows scheduled March 28–April 7 (two times daily at 4pm & 7pm). Guests with tickets can visit the “Ar Idardo” bar in the lobby from 6pm; all others are welcome from 8:30pm. Not suitable for children under 12. No late entry allowed; the experience is designed to be uninterrupted and intimate.
